OUR STORY

My name is Jennifer Atchison, proud owner of 1985 THE VAULT Boutique. I’m a mother of four, a wife, daughter, sister, friend, and two-time business owner. I keep a simple outlook on life—work hard, grow a little more each day, learn from mistakes (because we all make them), keep faith in God, and chase every dream imaginable! Life is short, so take that trip, start that business, jump out of that airplane, buy that dress—and rock it (preferably one of mine 😉).

1985 THE VAULT Boutique merchandise is currently sold in-store at Smooth Wax Bar Salon in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, offering everything from skincare to car freshies—fun finds for clients to shop while getting waxed or spray-tanned! Our goal is to continue expanding into other salons and retail locations across the region.

As of September 15, 2024, I officially rebranded my company to “1985 THE VAULT,” and I couldn’t be happier with that decision. The name carries deep meaning for me. About two years ago, life was full of challenges—marital struggles, raising a strong-willed teenager, running a growing lawncare business in DFW, and caring for two younger children with autism and speech delays. And on top of all that, I faced one of the toughest battles of my life—triple-negative breast cancer.

Through every trial, my faith became my anchor. I’ve always loved tattoos (classy and hidden 😉), and one day I came across a verse that forever changed me:
Joshua 1:9 – “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid, or be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

That verse found me over and over again—in unexpected places, through small signs and reminders that God was near. It became my lifeline during my storm. The numbers 1:9 (19) represent that verse, while 85 symbolizes the year I was born. Together, they form the foundation of my brand name—1985 THE VAULT. “The Vault” stands for opening new doors in life, guarding what’s valuable, and stepping boldly into new beginnings.

Owning a boutique has been a dream of mine for over a decade. With God’s grace, hard work, and a whole lot of faith, I’ve built a brand that’s not just about fashion—but about courage, confidence, and connection. My first company, America’s Best Lawncare in Prosper, Texas, which I still operate with my husband Jason, taught me everything from customer relations and marketing to payroll and perseverance.

Now, with 1985 THE VAULT, I’m combining those lessons with my passion for empowering women to feel beautiful, bold, and seen. I can’t wait to continue this journey, meet amazing people, and share the joy that comes from chasing your dreams—no matter how scary they may seem.

Here’s to faith, courage, and the beauty of starting over.
XOXO, Jenny 💗
